In an effort to foster community and provide a relaxing break from academic pressures, the “ALLEN Movie Night” program brought together approximately 70 students for an evening of entertainment and camaraderie. The chosen film for the night was “Inside Out”, known for its heartwarming narrative and exploration of complex emotions. 

The event took place in a spacious lecture hall, transformed into a cozy movie theater for the evening. As students settled into their seats, a palpable sense of refreshment filled the room. The choice of “Inside Out” was particularly fitting, offering a perfect blend of humor, emotion, and thought-provoking themes that resonated with the diverse audience. 

Throughout the screening, laughter and occasional sniffles could be heard, as the film’s poignant moments struck a chord with the audience. The story of Riley and her personified emotions navigating the challenges of growing up provided a relatable and engaging experience for everyone. This shared experience of watching “Inside Out” served as a catalyst for meaningful conversations and new friendships, reinforcing the importance of taking time to relax and bond amidst the demands of university life.
