This Lettuce event made students come together to share some funny times  with competing students trying to eat a whole lettuce in the shortest time possible. The audience pushed them to finish their whole head of lettuce with cheers and laughter. Mind you, this is no easy task.

     Many have said that this event is a strange idea; students shoving their faces with lettuce as fast as they can definitely seems out of the ordinary. But that is exactly why this idea is ingenious! A row of students racing to eat lettuce? The crowd, and the contestants, were laughing their heads off!

     The event started with exciting music and fun conversation with our talented MC, John Kim.In fact, he grabbed his friend from the audience and forced him over to the contestants' table as he attempted to run away. John had the audience laughing and got the crowd excited. After all the laughter, the contestant who had tried to escape earlier ironically won the contest.

     Right after, the students were able to get some salad the RA's had prepared for them. They had a selection of lettuce, tuna, eggs, tomatoes and corn. Then they had a chance to socialize, enjoying music and salad while talking about the insane competition.

      Many chose to stay after the salad bar portion of the event to enjoy the music and dance. They weren’t too shy after the RAs began showing their moves.

      It was a successful event with many students  and residential assistants enthusiastically participating.
